  • Extensive experience with Workday HCM and Finance. Developed a Business Case for approval by UBC Board of Governors to secure funding for a $200M complex, multi-year transformation program. Initiated development of the renewal strategy for HR and Finance functional areas impacting faculty, staff and students. Developed a comprehensive change management strategy in consultation with key program sponsors and communication materials targeting executives, campus stakeholders and standing committees impacting 20,000 faculty and staff.

 

  • Developed and executed a comprehensive change management strategy in consultation with project sponsors to implement Planon, UBC’s new Enterprise Maintenance Management System (EMMS) for maintenance management, inventory management and asset management and replaced the prior PeopleSoft solution.

 

  • Supported the deployment of Ceridian Dayforce HCM solution. Assessed the current state to streamline business processes and align with best practice delivery. Improved the employee experience with self-service options to manage personal information, career progression and online learning. Identified impacted stakeholder groups and complete an organizational readiness assessment to support transition readiness to a cloud solution.

 

  • Devised a Change Management Roadmap for a transformative, multi-year initiative of a $20 million upgrade of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management for one of the Top 25 research higher education institutions; provided senior advisory services to the Program Manager and other executive stakeholders, influencing the direction and timing of the change management approach, activities and budget; identified 100+ major change impacts, developed a Change Tracker to chart progress and engaged 75 front-line staff in an extensive process of business requirements gathering led by PS Functional Consultants; led several Special Project Committees with executive leaders related to governance, approvals and university policies.

 

  • Represented a large healthcare union in discussions with a software vendor, to plan and implement ADP’s labor and expense management software, to track staff time and attendance and expense management; created employee communications and training plans aligned with vendor project implementation timelines; resolved long standing issues and kept union management updated on project progress.

 

  • Developed a comprehensive Project Charter for a University Business School to overhaul a 6000 page web site and related web properties over 36 months; developed strategies to maximize CMS investment and engage users by improving the user interface and information architecture; extensive stakeholder consultation usability testing, and graphic design firm selection.

 

  • Assessed a $1 million custom software project at a research facility, which was over-budget and behind schedule; identified issues with the project team composition, expense oversight and disconnect with user needs; conducted a user survey targeting 5000+ researchers, with a 20% response rate; delivered ten (10) recommendations to the senior management team to jump start the stalled project and lower implementation costs; project was completed within 12 months of the final recommendations.

 

  • Created a 3-Year Roadmap and Operational Plan for a University Business School to transition from traditional IT Services to Learning and Technology Services; conducted 50 stakeholder interviews with faculty, staff, and internal clients; completed best practices and benchmarking against competing business schools in US and Canada to prioritize technology investments; recommended the creation of a new Director role; developed capital and operating budgets; defined resourcing requirements and new staff positions; ongoing implementation of project recommendations.

 

  • Developed an RFP for an international wireless company for web development services including project scope, technology platform requirements and back office integration; evaluated, selected and managed vendor, accomplishing the project in ¼ of the time over previous efforts; managed the $250,000 project to consolidate disparate internet, intranet and extranet sites; coached senior management on strategic web opportunities for 1800 employees, customers and vendors; collaborated with VP HR to streamline online hiring processes in conjunction with PeopleSoft implementation; evaluated organizational impact and created risk mitigation plans.

 

  • Created an Executive Roundtable Series with CEO’s from Fortune 500 international financial institutions in Hong Kong to discuss implications of multinational communications and technology integration.
