  •  Delivered short-term strategic and tactical communications support for corporate, investor, media and recruitment activities for the one of largest online furniture retailers. Formalized investor and media relations strategies including development of investor package, media releases and company information. Supported business development and communication activities of its recently launched subsidiary company to drive revenue growth. Formalized employee communications to inform and engage staff to foster change culture and meet business targets.

 

  • Worked with the Chief People Officer and Vice President Marketing & Communications on a high profile marketing and branding project for a global hosting company providing strategic direction about the project timing, implementation planning and internal employee readiness in Canada, US and UK offices.

 

  • Created a Project Plan for a major Healthcare Authority focused on redesigning its multi-million dollar Disability Management program. The use of mind mapping tools accelerated completion of the planning within 6 weeks, by identifying multi-year work packages focused on process improvements, measuring and reporting outcomes, and developing a team-oriented culture. Detailed timelines, resource assignments and change management and communication planning were documented.

 

  • Developed the business case and operations plan for a $1.5 million expansion and remodeling of a university business school library to create a Learning Commons with interactive technology and collaborative work spaces; created the first online presence, targeting 2500 undergraduate business students, designed to deliver self-service learning activities, Working 2.0 social media tools and career management resources.

 

  • Conducted a major review of the telecommunications infrastructure of a one of Canada’s largest educational institutions to determine how to transition to IP telephony for 15,000 users. Developed a comprehensive roadmap reviewing current technology trends, potential vendor solutions, identification of quick wins, recommendations and timeline for a proposed 24 month implementation.

 

  • Developed an e-business strategy for a leading BC magazine publisher to mirror the company’s flagship print publication including a competitor analysis, identification of web best practices and coordination of an internal committee of key stakeholders to identify key business objectives resulting in a reduction of in-bound administrative calls and increased advertising inquiries.

 

  • Delivered the first web site for a national surgical company including interactive educational tools, office locator and integration with the client’s legacy technology. Achieved significant cost savings by streamlining appointment booking and decreasing recruitment costs for new facilities.

 

  • Developed a strategic business plan for a technology start-up targeting an investor audience outlining the company, market, technology, competition, strategy, operational plan and financial projections. Scheduled meetings with VC firms to secure bridge financing.

 

  • Tailored content for an e-learning DVD for a real estate association to educate realtors on the various contractual elements and obligations to reduce errors and expedite closings.

 

  • Developed business development tools for an oil fluid handling business including sales messaging, new web site, and marketing collateral to support sale activities targeting new market verticals to increase revenues.
